JAN REDFORD lives with her family in Squamish, BC, where she mountain bikes, trail runs, climbs, and skis. Her stories, articles, and personal essays have been published in the Globe and Mail, National Post, Mountain Life, Explore, and anthologies and have won or been shortlisted in several writing contests. She is a graduate of The Writer’s Studio at SFU and holds a master’s in creative writing from UBC. Her memoir, End of the Rope: Mountains, Marriage, and Motherhood, was published in April 2018 with Random House Canada, and will be published in May 2018 with Counterpoint Press in the USA.

Angie Abdou has a PhD from the University of Calgary and is a Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Athabasca University. Her first novel, The Bone Cage (NeWest Press), was a finalist in CBC's Canada Reads competition. She is also the author of The Canterbury Trail (Brindle & Glass), Anything Boys Can Do (Thistledown Press), and Between (Arsenal Pulp Press). Her latest novel is In Case I Go. It was a BC Best-seller for five weeks, a best of 2017 book on CBC Books and Writers' Trust, and a finalist for the Banff Mountain Book Award in the fiction and poetry award. Angie lives in Fernie, BC."
