A Little Bit About Me
I am a writer living in Squamish, BC. My articles, short stories and personal essays been published in The Globe and Mail, The National Post, Explore, Mountain Life, SFU’s anthology: Emerge, two North Shore Writers’ Association anthologies, Room, and in Rock, Paper, Fire: The Best of Mountain and Wilderness Writing. I have won four writing competitions (see my writing page). In 2007 I participated in The Writer’s Studio (TWS) at SFU, and in 2015, I completed my Master’s in Creative Writing at UBC. My memoir End of the Rope: Mountains, Marriage and Motherhood will be published with Random House Canada in April 2018, and with Counterpoint Press in the U.S. in May 2018. When I’m not working on my second book, Chasing Granny (working title) I ski, trail run, mountain bike, and rock climb.
